Aliens Built
the Pyramids
In October 2022, I collaborated with my classmates in my animation basics course to create an animated video in the vein of a TedEd edutainment video. Our goal was to add visual elements and create a cohesive and entertaining video that would enhance the pre-existing audio. This was a project created on a very short timeline that helped me experience a full animation pipeline and artistic collaboration on a smaller scale.
I was responsible for creating all the storyboards, guiding the art style, compiling the final animation with transitions, and my own personal shots. To split up the workload, we delegated shots to each person and made them responsible for creating and animating all those elements. I was fully responsible for the shots from 0:05-0:22, 0:32-0:40, 0:55-1:02, and 1:09-1:20, and ideated and compiled the rest of the video.
My greatest points of pride in this project were the visual gags and concepts I came up with to add humor and entertainment value to the speech. It was great to work with group members who could make my ideas from the storyboard come to life as effectively as they did.
